Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 May 2026

This policy explains what personal data StackCompass processes, why, and what rights you have. We keep data collection to a minimum and load all analytics only after you consent.

Data Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this site is Jakub Czechowski (Poland). For any privacy request, contact jakub.czechowski@gmail.com.

What We Collect

  • Analytics data (consent-based). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4. Depending on the site configuration, GA4 may load directly or through Google Tag Manager. This processes pseudonymous data such as truncated IP address, page views, events, approximate location, device and browser information. No analytics runs if you reject or ignore the banner.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request logs — including IP address — to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse.
  • Local preferences. Theme and consent choices are stored in your browser only and are never sent to us.

We do not run advertising, profiling, or sell any personal data.

Processors & International Transfers

We share data with the following processors strictly to operate the site:

  • Google Ireland Ltd. — Google Analytics 4 and, if configured, Google Tag Manager (analytics, consent-based).
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — Hosting, CDN, and security.

These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on an adequacy decision such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another safeguard required by the GDPR.

Legal Basis & Retention

Analytics is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the Cookie settings button. Server logs rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in securing the service.

The consent choice remains in your browser until you change it or clear this site's storage. GA4 event-level analytics data is retained according to the current GA4 property setting and no longer than 14 months. Server logs are retained for the period needed to operate, secure, and diagnose the service, and may be kept longer only when needed to investigate abuse, security incidents, or legal claims.

Providing analytics data is voluntary. If you reject or ignore the banner, optional analytics does not run. We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). To exercise any right, email jakub.czechowski@gmail.com.
