Framer vs Webflow vs WordPress in 2026 - a working dev's take

The comparison is less about features and more about who is driving. Framer makes sense when a designer ships a marketing site without waiting on an engineer. Webflow earns its place when there is real CMS structure to manage but no appetite for WordPress’s complexity. WordPress remains the default for content-heavy sites and owner-operators who depend on the plugin ecosystem - and the headless path (WP as editor, Next.js as frontend) keeps it relevant even for teams that have outgrown the classic stack.

The honest read: the tool selection is increasingly a team-composition question, not a capability one.
